Here is little K, soaking up the ambiance at Nordstrom department store. She loves the live pianist, riding the escalators, and watching the ladies click by in their high heels and fashionable threads. We came to Nordstrom for a rather utilitarian purpose -- rain boots -- but it is always fun to dream about being wealthy (and thin!) enough to afford all of what Nordy's offers. Our next stop that afternoon was the thrift store, which was a major culture shock after Nordstrom, but definitely more gentle on our wallet. When K is a teenager and has opinions on where she'd like to shop, I imagine she will chose Nordstrom, and not just because they give you a free balloon in the children's shoe department. She is just so in love with that store.
AWE!!!! I love the picture of K! She just looks so sweet with her cute smile. I always feel overwhelmed when I go to department stores like Macy's. Nordstom, thank goodness, is on the other side of town so I don't go there but maybe once a year. :o)
